ECD PROJECT
Through the help and funds of Plan International Rwanda, Caritas Rwanda has been implementing an ECD project in the districts of Bugesera, Gatsibo, and Nyaruguru from October 2022 to June 2025.

Yvette is a young woman working in the welding sector. She owns her own workshop and provides employment opportunities to other young people. Yvette achieved this after receiving vocational skills training at Butamwa Vocational Training Center (VTC Butamwa), thanks to the support provided by Caritas Kigali in partnership with Nyarugenge District.
Supported by the Gera Ku Ntego Youth Project, 27 young people from Ngoma District, forming the Terimbere Rubyiruko group, are transforming their lives through savings and agricultural investments (cabbages, onions, and potatoes).

Following training on the SILC methodology, facilitated by the ECD project funded by Plan International Rwanda 30 parents of children attending the Tuganire ECD formed a SILC group (Ubumwe) and invested in poultry farming to feed their children with nutritious meals and achieve economic growth.
