Mwamarakiza Mark, 74, and his wife Ntunguka Immaculée the Burundian refugees in Mahama camp say that for them if it wasn't for Caritas Rwanda, they would not be alive today. "For old people like us, being a refugee is the worst thing, leaving home at our age, the fatigue of travelling and fleeing, plus illness and poverty is a very unhappy life. But I assure you we found a friend, Caritas Rwanda, who welcomed us with open arms at the time when we needed it the most, if we didn't have the porridge we get from Caritas, me and my wife would have died," says Mwamarakiza.
